If you have ever wondered why seemingly harmless books are banned, or felt like social media was unjustly censoring information, then this blog is for you. It is important to continually educate people on the disadvantages and effects of censorship. The main issue this blog will narrow in on is the banning and censoring of books from public places that make them accessible to todays youth and on. Many argue that this is done to protect rather than harm, but it is more valuable to leave these resources open for the use and learning of others. If nothing else, this blog is for educational purposes so others may know to what extent censorship is present and for others to decide if this is a problem worth fixing in their own community. The discussion around this issue is not full enough to begin to hope for change. This blog is open for discussion and differing opinions so be sure to leave any commentary below.
